Post-Acute Care Coordination 🔒
design, research, strategy
new productTransferring very sick patients from the hospital to long term acute care centers involves lots of people, paperwork, logistics, and time. The process is riddled with inefficiencies that are costly for facilities and result in a less than ideal experience for patients and their loved ones. I conducted research, informed strategic direction, and executed design for a new product built to streamline the patient intake process, reduce costs, decrease time to admittance, and improve the flow of communication.

Symptom Assessment for Ai Chat 🔒
design, research, strategy, technical complexity
new feature We leveraged a 3rd party’s AI-powered inference engine to provide a dynamic medical interview within our existing chatbot. We built a cohesive visual experience on top of this powerful service to provide health systems with a tool for directing people with specific symptoms to appropriate levels of care. I conducted research, analyzed the available api endpoints through the lense of my research findings in order to construct a custom/optimized user flow, and designed the end to end experience.

new strategyHow can we deliver useful insights to health systems about the patient journey as a whole when our products are siloed from one another? I led research and design efforts around a new strategic direction that ultimately brought our individual products together into a single unified experience.

Smart Sending for Outreach Campaigns

new featureHealth systems limit the number of campaigns they send out because they don’t want to risk bombarding people who may qualify for multiple campaigns. I designed a way for health systems to control the volume of communications an individual can receive over a period of time; helping them maximize reach without worrying about over-messaging.

A selection of fun, early work that taught me a lot about how to work closely with stakeholders and how to navigate the design process when you’re dealing with complex applications for users in highly specialized domains vs mass-market applications.

About me

As a designer, I enjoy solving  fuzzy     tricky    large     unusual      greenfield      people-focused    problems with data, a holistic mindset, and collaboration. I am well-acquainted with the ambiguity that comes with designing complex workflows in complex industries where the “natural next step” isn’t always clear. I love learning and I hope to create technology that serves rather than clutters.
